Due to this tragedy in my life I have become aware of the national problem with teen fatalities due to poor choices made behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle. I have decided to start a foundation to educate and raise awareness among young people and their parents regarding choices related to the responsibility and consequences of those choices when someone gets behind the wheel of a car.

This foundation is a tribute to my younger brother Luke Abbate. Luke was one of the statistics taken from my family due to a life ending, life changing selfish decision by a young person driving a vehicle that placed innocent lives of others in jeopardy and ultimately took my brother from us. Luke was an amazing young man full of energy whose life was taken way too soon. He will always be the driving force in my life that helps me continue to succeed. Not all teen and young adult fatalities in this country are  due to alcohol abuse or driving while intoxicated.

The goal of this foundation is to partner with the National Safety Council to educate teens of this country. It is my hope and dream that we can save the lives of young people by the efforts of this Foundation. I appreciate and have been blessed by the response of fans and friends all across the country.
